Modern Art Oxford set to bring international artists to Rose Hill

IMG2822aModern Art Oxford’s programme of art activities in Rose Hill is set to expand over the next three years thanks to a £150,000 grant to the Gallery from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

Sarah Mossop, Head of Education at Modern Art Oxford said: “We are delighted to receive this award from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. It will enable us to significantly extend our work in Rose Hill. We are looking forward to working with the people of Rose Hill on a series of exciting and ambitious new projects with international artists.”

Andrew Nairne, Director of Modern Art Oxford said: “Over the past year, we have been enormously encouraged by the positive response to the Art in Rose Hill programme. With support from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation we can seek to excite and engage more people in the contemporary visual arts and the work of the Gallery.”

Recent work from the Art in Rose Hill programme can be seen over the summer at Rose Hill Community Centre and in Modern Art Oxford’s Café, where ‘Our Space’ an exhibition of photographs by children from Rose Hill Primary School is on display until 7 September.
